Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups (180g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup (120ml) buttermilk or milk
- 2 cups mixed fresh fruits (diced apples, berries, citrus)
- ½ cup (60g) confectioners

Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease the cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a separate bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Alternate adding the dry ingredient mixture and buttermilk to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in the mixed fresh fruits.
- Pour the batter into prepared cake pan, smoothing the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Optional: Dust with confectioners sugar and garnish with fresh fruit slices before serving.
