Ingredients:

  • 2 ¼ cups (280 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup (165 g) packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups (340 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  4. In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  5. Beat in the eggs one at a time until thoroughly combined.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
  8. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  9. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spaced apart.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are slightly soft.
  11. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
