Ingredients:

  • 500g fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 200g all-purpose flour
  • 100g cold, unsalted butter, cut into ½-inch cubes
  • 100g granulated sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Combine flour and cold butter in a bowl (or food processor). Rub butter into flour until mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Stir in sugar. Set aside.
  3. Place blackberries in the baking dish. Sprinkle with sugar and flour. Add lemon juice and stir to combine.
  4. Sprinkle crumble topping evenly over the blackberry mixture. Ensure good coverage.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.
