Ingredients:
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup (57g) cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
- 3/4 cup (177ml) buttermilk, cold
- 1 cup (113g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup (57g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Cut cold butter into the dry ingredients using a pastry cutter or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gently stir in buttermilk and cheddar cheese until just combined. Do not overmix!
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While biscuits are baking, melt butter in a small bowl. Stir in garlic powder, parsley, and salt.
- As soon as the biscuits come out of the oven, brush generously with garlic butter. Serve warm.
