Ingredients:

  • 1 (15.25 ounce / 432g) package chocolate cake mix (Devil's Food or Fudge recommended)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick / 113g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk (any kind)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar, for rolling

Instructions:

  1. Combine melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until well combined.
  2. Gradually add the chocolate cake mix to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  3. Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
  5. Scoop or roll dough into 1-inch balls. Roll each ball generously in powdered sugar, ensuring complete coverage.
  6. Place cookies on prepared baking sheets, leaving space between them. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.
  7. Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
