Ingredients:
- 1 (15.25 ounce / 432g) package chocolate cake mix (Devil's Food or Fudge recommended)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick / 113g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk (any kind)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar, for rolling
Instructions:
- Combine melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until well combined.
- Gradually add the chocolate cake mix to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
- Scoop or roll dough into 1-inch balls. Roll each ball generously in powdered sugar, ensuring complete coverage.
- Place cookies on prepared baking sheets, leaving space between them. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
