Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
- 1 scoop (30g) chocolate protein powder
- 1/4 cup black chia seeds
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp fine sea salt
Instructions:
- Combine the almond milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla in your jar. Note: Mixing the yogurt with the milk first prevents lumps.
- Add the cocoa powder, protein powder, and salt. Whisk until no dry streaks remain.
- Pour in the 1/4 cup of chia seeds.
- Stir or shake the jar for at least 60 seconds.
- Let the jar sit on the counter for 5 to 10 minutes. Wait for the seeds to begin swelling.
- Give it one more thorough mix to break up any 'rafts' of seeds that have clumped together.
- Close the lid and place it in the fridge.
- Let it hydrate for at least 4 hours, though overnight is better.
- Check consistency. If it's too thick, stir in a splash of milk; if too thin, add a teaspoon of seeds and wait 30 mins.
- Top with berries or a few dark chocolate shavings for texture.
