Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 scoop (30g) chocolate protein powder
  • 1/4 cup black chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp fine sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Combine the almond milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla in your jar. Note: Mixing the yogurt with the milk first prevents lumps.
  2. Add the cocoa powder, protein powder, and salt. Whisk until no dry streaks remain.
  3. Pour in the 1/4 cup of chia seeds.
  4. Stir or shake the jar for at least 60 seconds.
  5. Let the jar sit on the counter for 5 to 10 minutes. Wait for the seeds to begin swelling.
  6. Give it one more thorough mix to break up any 'rafts' of seeds that have clumped together.
  7. Close the lid and place it in the fridge.
  8. Let it hydrate for at least 4 hours, though overnight is better.
  9. Check consistency. If it's too thick, stir in a splash of milk; if too thin, add a teaspoon of seeds and wait 30 mins.
  10. Top with berries or a few dark chocolate shavings for texture.
