Ingredients:

  • 2 scoops of high-quality vanilla ice cream (about 150g)
  • 1 cup (240ml) of freshly brewed espresso (or strong coffee)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) of coffee liqueur (optional)
  • Cocoa powder, chocolate shavings, or crushed nuts (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Brew the espresso using an espresso machine or coffee maker. If using a French press, steep for 4 minutes.
  2. Place 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream in a glass or cup per serving. Optionally drizzle coffee liqueur over the ice cream.
  3. Carefully pour the freshly brewed espresso over the ice cream, allowing it to 'drown' the scoops.
  4. Garnish with cocoa powder, chocolate shavings, or crushed nuts if desired and serve immediately with a spoon.
