Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces Blanco Tequila (100% Agave)
  • 1 ounce Fresh Lime Juice
  • ¾ ounce Cointreau or High-Quality Triple Sec
  • ¼ - ½ ounce Agave Nectar or Simple Syrup (1:1)
  • Coarse Salt (Kosher or Sea Salt) for rim
  • 1 Lime Wedge or Wheel for garnish
  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the glass rim: On a small plate, spread a thin layer of coarse salt. Take a lime wedge and moisten the outer rim of your serving glass. Gently roll the moistened rim into the salt to coat evenly.
  2. Measure Ingredients: Using a jigger, measure the tequila, lime juice, Cointreau, and agave nectar/simple syrup directly into the cocktail shaker.
  3. Add Ice & Shake: Fill the shaker 2/3 full with good quality ice. Seal the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the shaker is thoroughly frosted.
  4. Strain: Fill your prepared glass with fresh ice (if serving on the rocks). Open the shaker and fine-strain the mixture into the prepared glass.
  5. Garnish: Garnish immediately with a fresh lime wedge or wheel. Serve straight away.
