Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (240ml) whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour the loaf or bundt pan.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Gradually add the eggs, one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with milk. Start and end with the flour mixture.
  7. Stir in vanilla extract until just combined.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top.
  9. Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
