Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved (or quartered if large)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) salt
  • ¼ teaspoon (1.25ml) black pepper
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) garlic powder or onion powder
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon (15ml) balsamic vinegar or maple syrup (for drizzling after cooking)

Instructions:

  1. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any loose or yellowing outer leaves. Halve or quarter (if large) the sprouts.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder). Ensure the sprouts are evenly coated.
  3. Place the seasoned Brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  4. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the sprouts are tender and golden brown with crispy edges.
  5. Remove the Brussels sprouts from the air fryer and drizzle with balsamic vinegar or maple syrup (if using). Serve immediately.
