  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Cooking oil spray

Instructions:

  1. Slice the imitation crab into uniform 1-inch segments to ensure even cooking.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the crab segments with melted butter, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until every piece is thinly coated.
  3. Dredge each piece in the seasoned flour, shaking off the excess.
  4. Dip the floured crab into the beaten eggs.
  5. Press the crab firmly into the Panko breadcrumbs, ensuring the sides are fully encased for a consistent crust.
  6. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  7. Place the bites in a single layer in the basket, leaving space between each piece for airflow.
  8. Lightly spray the tops with cooking oil.
  9. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the exterior is mahogany-colored and feels firm to the touch.
