Ingredients:
- 8 slices white bread, crusts removed (80g)
- 4 ounces (113g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh dill, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) fresh chives, finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.5 ml) salt
- 1/8 teaspoon (0.75 ml) black pepper
- 1 English cucumber, thinly sliced (200g)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, dill, chives, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
- Thinly slice the cucumber. If the cucumber has a lot of seeds, you can remove them.
- Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on four slices of bread.
- Arrange the cucumber slices neatly on top of the cream cheese spread.
- Place the remaining four slices of bread on top of the cucumber, cream cheese-side down.
- Wrap the sandwiches tightly in cling film and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Remove the sandwiches from the refrigerator. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut each sandwich in half diagonally. Serve immediately.
