Ingredients:
- 2 cans (29 oz each) sliced peaches in heavy syrup
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- In the prepared baking dish, combine the canned peaches with their syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Spread into an even layer.
- Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the top of the peach mixture. Do not stir.
- Drizzle the melted butter slowly and evenly over the dry cake mix layer. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top for extra crunch.
- Bake in the center rack for 40–45 minutes until the filling is bubbling and the crust is deep golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes to allow the syrup to thicken before serving.
