Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (29 oz each) sliced peaches in heavy syrup
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In the prepared baking dish, combine the canned peaches with their syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Spread into an even layer.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the top of the peach mixture. Do not stir.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter slowly and evenly over the dry cake mix layer. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top for extra crunch.
  5. Bake in the center rack for 40–45 minutes until the filling is bubbling and the crust is deep golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes to allow the syrup to thicken before serving.
