Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240ml) warm milk (100-110°F / 38-43°C)
- 2 1/4 teaspoons (7g) rapid-rise or instant yeast (1 packet)
- 2 tablespoons (25g) granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup (56g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon (6g) salt
- 2 1/2 - 3 cups (300-360g) all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
- 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
- Combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a large bowl. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add melted butter and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually add 2 1/2 cups of flour, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for 5-7 minutes, adding more flour as needed, until the dough is smooth and elastic. Alternatively, use a stand mixer with a dough hook on medium speed for 3-5 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place them on a greased baking sheet, close together.
- Cover the rolls loosely with a clean tea towel and let them rest for 10 minutes while the oven preheats.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Immediately brush the warm rolls with melted butter.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
