Ingredients:
- 500 g strong white bread flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 7 g fast action yeast
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 350 ml lukewarm water
- 350 g passata
- 300 g grated mozzarella
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 230°C (210°C fan / gas mark 8 / 450°F). Grease pizza trays with olive oil.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, and salt. Add olive oil and gradually mix in lukewarm water until a dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces (or 8 for smaller pizzas) and roll each piece out to fit the size of the trays.
- Place rolled dough onto the trays and stretch gently to fit. Spread 4 tablespoons of passata on each pizza base, leaving a small border. Top with grated cheese, oregano, and black pepper.
- Cook in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, rotating trays if necessary. Check for doneness—cheese should be bubbling and the crust golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
