Ingredients:
- 1 Large Russet Potato (8-10 oz / 225-285g)
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil or Vegetable Oil
- Kosher Salt, to taste
- Black Pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C / Gas Mark 6).
- Scrub potatoes clean under cold water. Dry thoroughly.
- Using a fork or knife, prick each potato all over, including the top, bottom and sides. Prick several times.
- Rub each potato with olive oil or vegetable oil. Season generously with kosher salt and black pepper. Ensure even coverage.
- Place potatoes directly on the baking sheet. Bake for 45-75 minutes, depending on size.
- The potatoes are done when a fork or knife easily pierces the center with little resistance. Internal temperature should reach 210°F (99°C).
- Carefully remove from the oven. Cut open the top and fluff the inside with a fork. Add your favorite toppings and enjoy!
