Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Gradually add cold sparkling water, stirring until well combined and smooth.
- In a frying pan or deep fryer, heat oil over medium heat (about 350°F or 175°C).
- Dip the sliced bananas into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated.
- Carefully place the battered bananas into the hot oil and fry in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove and drain on paper towels.
- Dust the fried bananas with powdered sugar and serve immediately with honey or chocolate sauce, and your choice of ice cream or whipped cream.
