- 2 tablespoons (30g) Butter or ghee - Optional Topping
- Honey or Maple Syrup, to taste - Optional Topping
- Fresh fruit (berries, banana slices, peaches) - Optional Topping

- Soy Sauce - Optional Savory Topping
- Sesame Oil - Optional Savory Topping
- Fried Egg - Optional Savory Topping

Instructions:
- Rinse the rice under cold running water until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch and prevents stickiness.
- Add the rinsed rice and water to the saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until the rice is very soft and the mixture has thickened. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Remove from heat. Stir in salt. Add toppings, and serve immediately.
