Ingredients:

  • 8 cups (1900 ml) Water, divided
  • 4 family-size tea bags (black tea, such as Lipton or Tetley)
  • 1 cup (200g) Granulated sugar
  • Ice, for serving
  • Lemon slices (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a saucepan.
  2. Remove from heat, add tea bags, and steep for 5-7 minutes. Gently squeeze tea bags to release flavor, then remove and discard.
  3. Add sugar to the hot tea and stir until completely dissolved.
  4. Add the remaining 4 cups of cold water to the tea mixture. Stir to combine.
  5. Let tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until ice-cold. Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices if desired.
