Ingredients:

  • 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder (mild or medium)
  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 Tablespoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano (Mexican preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (or to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Carefully measure all spices (Chili Powder through Cayenne Pepper) into a small mixing bowl. Use level measures for accuracy.
  2. Whisk all the measured spices vigorously for at least 30 seconds until the colour is uniform and there are no clumps of a single spice visible.
  3. Taste test the mixture by rubbing a tiny pinch between your fingers (this helps you gauge the heat level).
  4. Transfer the finished blend into your airtight jar and label clearly with the contents and date.
