Ingredients:

  • 2 large heads of Fresh Broccoli (approx. 500g)
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • ½ tsp Sea Salt
  • ¼ tsp Cracked Black Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Wash the broccoli under cold water and cut the florets away from the central stalk into roughly 1-inch diameter pieces.
  2. Add approximately one inch of water to a medium-sized pot and bring to a rapid boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Place the broccoli florets into a steamer basket and set inside the pot, ensuring the water does not touch the vegetables. Cover with a tight-fitting lid.
  4. Steam for 4 minutes for crisp-tender or 5 minutes for tender results. Do not lift the lid during this process.
  5. Carefully remove the basket and transfer broccoli to a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and season with sea salt and black pepper immediately.
