Ingredients:
- 2 large heads of Fresh Broccoli (approx. 500g)
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- ½ tsp Sea Salt
- ¼ tsp Cracked Black Pepper
Instructions:
- Wash the broccoli under cold water and cut the florets away from the central stalk into roughly 1-inch diameter pieces.
- Add approximately one inch of water to a medium-sized pot and bring to a rapid boil over medium-high heat.
- Place the broccoli florets into a steamer basket and set inside the pot, ensuring the water does not touch the vegetables. Cover with a tight-fitting lid.
- Steam for 4 minutes for crisp-tender or 5 minutes for tender results. Do not lift the lid during this process.
- Carefully remove the basket and transfer broccoli to a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and season with sea salt and black pepper immediately.
