Ingredients:
- 1 lemon, halved
- Coarse salt (such as kosher or sea salt), about 1/4 cup (60 ml)
Instructions:
- Cut the lemon in half lengthwise.
- Sprinkle a generous amount of salt onto the cut side of one lemon half.
- Using the salted lemon half, firmly scrub the tarnished copper surface in a circular motion. Apply more pressure to heavily tarnished areas.
- Rinse the pot thoroughly with warm water.
- Dry the pot immediately with a clean, soft cloth. This helps prevent water spots and further tarnishing.
- For stubborn tarnish, repeat steps 2-5, using the other lemon half and fresh salt if needed.
