Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (120g) Cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) Water, plus more as needed
  • Optional: Food coloring (gel or liquid)

Instructions:

  1. In the mixing bowl, slowly add the water to the cornstarch, mixing with a spoon or whisk.
  2. Continue mixing until a thick paste forms. The mixture will seem to resist mixing at first.
  3. Add more water, a tablespoon at a time, until the mixture starts to feel like a liquid when you stir it slowly, but resists when you try to stir it quickly. It should feel like you're trying to mix a solid.
  4. Pick up a handful of the mixture and squeeze it tightly. It should form a solid ball in your hand. When you stop squeezing, it should melt and run through your fingers. If it's too dry, add a tiny bit more water. If it's too runny, add a bit more cornstarch.
  5. If desired, add a few drops of food coloring and mix until evenly distributed. Be careful, it stains!
