Ingredients:
- 2 ½ cups (600 ml) rolled oats (old-fashioned, not instant)
- 5 cups (1.2 L) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 2 ½ tablespoons (37.5 ml) chia seeds (optional)
- 2 ½ tablespoons (37.5 ml) maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) peanut butter
- ½ medium banana, sliced
- ½ cup (120 ml) mixed berries
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) shredded coconut
- ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) chocolate chips (optional)
- ½ small apple, diced
- ¼ teaspoon (1.25 ml) cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg
- ¼ cup (60 ml) chopped pineapple
- ¼ cup (60 ml) shredded coconut
- lime zest from ¼ lime
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, milk, chia seeds (if using), maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk well.
- Divide the oat mixture evenly among the 5 individual containers or jars.
- Add the ingredients for each flavor variation to one of the containers, gently stirring to combine.
- Seal the containers tightly and refrigerate for at least 6-8 hours, or overnight.
- In the morning, give each container a stir and enjoy cold. Top with additional fruit, nuts, or a drizzle of honey.
