Ingredients:
- 6 ounces (170g) finely grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
- Optional: Pinch of dried herbs (Italian mix, rosemary, thyme)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Position a rack in the center of the oven.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Spoon or sprinkle approximately 1 tablespoon (or 15g) of grated Parmesan cheese onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1-2 inches apart. Aim for uniform, flat circles.
- If using, sprinkle a tiny pinch of black pepper or dried herbs over each mound of cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 5-8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, golden brown around the edges, and slightly bubbly.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the crisps cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes until they firm up slightly. Then, carefully transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled and crisp, serve immediately. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
