Ingredients:

  • 32g medium-dark roast coffee grounds
  • 250ml filtered water
  • 2 cups solid ice cubes
  • 0.25 cup whole milk
  • 1 tbsp simple syrup

Instructions:

  1. Weigh out 32g of coffee grounds. If using a pour-over method, place the grounds into a brewer with a pre-wetted filter to remove papery residue.
  2. Place 1 cup of the ice cubes directly into the bottom of the brewing vessel or glass. This is where the hot coffee will drip onto to flash-chill.
  3. Heat 250ml of filtered water to 200°F (93°C). Pour the hot water over the grounds in slow, circular motions, allowing the coffee to drip directly onto the ice to flash-chill.
  4. Once brewing is complete, stir in the remaining 1 cup of ice and add 1 tablespoon of simple syrup.
  5. Top with 1/4 cup of whole milk and stir with a long-handled spoon until the mixture is marbled and cold.
