Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240ml) Heavy Cream, cold (minimum 36% milk fat)
- 2-3 Tablespoons (25-38g) Powdered Sugar (Icing Sugar), adjust to taste
- ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) Vanilla Extract, pure vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Place the mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for at least 15 minutes. This is crucial for success!
- Pour the cold heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract into the chilled mixing bowl.
- Start the mixer on medium speed and beat until soft peaks form. Watch carefully, this happens quickly!
- Increase the speed to medium-high and continue beating until stiff peaks form. Stiff peaks hold their shape when the beaters are lifted.
- Be careful not to overbeat the cream, as it can turn into butter. Stop mixing as soon as stiff peaks form.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 24 hours. Keep refrigerated!
