Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approx. 6 oz / 170 g each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5 g)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder (5 g)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (5 g)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (5 g)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper (2 g)
  • Juice of 1 lemon (approx. 30 ml)
  • Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry using paper towels and place chicken in the baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  4. Pour marinade over the chicken, ensuring each breast is well-coated. Allow to marinate for at least 10 minutes (or up to an hour if time permits).
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, using the meat thermometer to check for doneness (165°F / 74°C).
  6. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with lemon slices, if desired.
