  • 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets (170g)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tablespoons) (30ml)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh dill or parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place salmon fillets on the baking sheet and brush or spoon the marinade generously over each fillet.
  5. Place the salmon in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. (Check for an internal temperature of 145°F or 63°C.)
  6. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve hot.
