Ingredients:
- 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets (170g)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tablespoons) (30ml)
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Fresh dill or parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Place salmon fillets on the baking sheet and brush or spoon the marinade generously over each fillet.
- Place the salmon in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. (Check for an internal temperature of 145°F or 63°C.)
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve hot.
