Ingredients:
- 4 large russet potatoes (or baking potatoes of your choice), about 8-10 ounces/225-285g each
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (29.5 ml)
- 1 tablespoon coarse sea salt (14.8 ml)
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F/200°C/Gas Mark 6. Scrub potatoes thoroughly. Prick each potato all over with a fork (about 8-10 times).
- Place potatoes on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, rubbing to coat each potato evenly. Sprinkle generously with sea salt and pepper.
- Bake for 30 minutes. Then, flip the potatoes and bake for another 30-45 minutes, or until easily pierced with a fork and the skin is crispy. These delicious baked potatoes in the oven will be a hit!
- For extra crispy skin, increase the oven temperature to 450°F/232°C/Gas Mark 8 for the last 5-10 minutes. Watch closely to prevent burning.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Cut open and fluff the inside with a fork. Add your favourite toppings.
