Ingredients:

  • 4 large russet potatoes (or baking potatoes of your choice), about 8-10 ounces/225-285g each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (29.5 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sea salt (14.8 ml)
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F/200°C/Gas Mark 6. Scrub potatoes thoroughly. Prick each potato all over with a fork (about 8-10 times).
  2. Place potatoes on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, rubbing to coat each potato evenly. Sprinkle generously with sea salt and pepper.
  3. Bake for 30 minutes. Then, flip the potatoes and bake for another 30-45 minutes, or until easily pierced with a fork and the skin is crispy. These delicious baked potatoes in the oven will be a hit!
  4. For extra crispy skin, increase the oven temperature to 450°F/232°C/Gas Mark 8 for the last 5-10 minutes. Watch closely to prevent burning.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Cut open and fluff the inside with a fork. Add your favourite toppings.
