Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450 g) fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp (5 g) sea salt
- 1/2 tsp (2 g) black pepper, freshly ground
- Optional: 1/4 tsp (1 g) garlic powder or 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Optional: 1/4 tsp (1 g) red pepper flakes
- Optional: Zest of 1 lemon
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Trim the ends of the green beans and rinse them under cold water.
- In a mixing bowl, combine green beans with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any additional optional seasonings.
- Spread the seasoned green beans in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, tossing halfway through, until crisp-tender and slightly browned.
- Remove from the oven, add optional lemon zest if desired, and serve immediately.
