Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (400g) Jasmine Rice
  • 2 1/4 cups (530ml) Water
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3g) Salt (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Place the jasmine rice in a fine-mesh sieve and rinse under cold running water until the water runs clear.
  2. Add the rinsed rice, water, and salt (if using) to a medium-sized saucepan.
  3. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan tightly, and simmer for 15 minutes. Do not lift the lid.
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it sit, covered, for 10 minutes.
  6. Gently fluff the rice with a fork and serve immediately.
