Ingredients:
- 2 cups (400g) Jasmine rice, rinsed well
- 3 cups (710 ml) Water
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) Salt (Optional)
Instructions:
- Rinse the Jasmine rice under cold running water until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch for fluffier results.
- Add the rinsed rice, water, and salt (if using) to the saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over high heat.
- Once boiling, immediately reduce the heat to the lowest setting, cover the saucepan with the lid, and simmer for 15 minutes. Important: Do not lift the lid during this time!
- After 15 minutes, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it rest, covered, for 10 minutes.
- After resting, fluff the rice gently with a fork to separate the grains. Serve immediately.
