Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (400g) Jasmine rice, rinsed well
  • 3 cups (710 ml) Water
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) Salt (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the Jasmine rice under cold running water until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch for fluffier results.
  2. Add the rinsed rice, water, and salt (if using) to the saucepan.
  3. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over high heat.
  4. Once boiling, immediately reduce the heat to the lowest setting, cover the saucepan with the lid, and simmer for 15 minutes. Important: Do not lift the lid during this time!
  5. After 15 minutes, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it rest, covered, for 10 minutes.
  6. After resting, fluff the rice gently with a fork to separate the grains. Serve immediately.
