Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (400g) Jasmine Rice
  • 2 ¼ cups (530ml) Water
  • ½ teaspoon (3g) Salt (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. Place the rice in a fine-mesh sieve and rinse under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Add the rinsed rice, water, and salt (if using) to the saucepan.
  3. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan tightly with the lid, and simmer for 15 minutes. Do not lift the lid during this time.
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it stand, covered, for 10 minutes. Again, no peeking!
  6. Gently fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
