Ingredients:
- 4 cups (480g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (240ml) whole milk, warmed to about 110°F (43°C)
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar, packed
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
- 2-3 tbsp (30-45ml) milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Whisk warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl; let sit until frothy (5-10 minutes).
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface until smooth (about 5-7 minutes).
- Place in greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
- Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Roll out dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter, sprinkle cinnamon mixture evenly.
- Roll tightly into a log, and slice into equal pieces (12).
- Place rolls in greased baking dish. Cover and let rise until puffy (30 minutes).
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls until golden (25-30 minutes).
- Mix icing ingredients; drizzle over warm rolls.
