Ingredients:

  • 4 cups (480g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (240ml) whole milk, warmed to about 110°F (43°C)
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp (30-45ml) milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Whisk warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl; let sit until frothy (5-10 minutes).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface until smooth (about 5-7 minutes).
  4. Place in greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
  5. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  6. Roll out dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter, sprinkle cinnamon mixture evenly.
  7. Roll tightly into a log, and slice into equal pieces (12).
  8. Place rolls in greased baking dish. Cover and let rise until puffy (30 minutes).
  9. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls until golden (25-30 minutes).
  10. Mix icing ingredients; drizzle over warm rolls.
