Ingredients:
- 1 medium spaghetti squash (approximately 2-3 pounds or 900g-1.4kg)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15ml)
- ½ teaspoon salt (2.5ml)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper (1.25ml)
- Optional: ½ teaspoon garlic powder (2.5ml), or other desired seasonings
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash the spaghetti squash. Carefully cut the squash in half lengthwise. Scrape out the seeds and stringy fibers.
- Drizzle the cut sides of the squash with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings.
- Place the squash cut-side down on a baking sheet. Roast for 45-60 minutes, or until the squash is easily pierced with a fork and the skin gives slightly to pressure.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Use a fork to scrape the flesh, creating spaghetti-like strands.
- Serve immediately.
