Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados (about 400g)
  • 1 medium lime, juiced (about 30ml)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin powder (1g)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (1.5g), to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper (1g), to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped (30ml)
  • Optional: 1 small jalapeño, seeded and minced for heat (if desired)

Instructions:

  1. Halve and pit the avocados; scoop flesh into a mixing bowl. Mince garlic and chop cilantro. Juice the lime.
  2. Using a fork or masher, mash the avocado until desired smoothness is achieved (chunky or smooth).
  3. Add lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper to the mashed avocado.
  4. Stir in chopped cilantro and jalapeño (if using) until well mixed.
  5. Taste the dip and adjust seasoning as needed (more salt, lime, or spice).
  6. Transfer to a serving bowl or plate, garnish with extra cilantro if desired, and enjoy with your favorite dippers.
