- 4 ripe medium tomatoes, diced

- 1 baguette or Italian loaf, sliced into 1/2-inch thick pieces
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine diced tomatoes, minced garlic, and chopped basil.
- Drizzle in the balsamic vinegar and olive oil; season with salt and pepper. Gently fold the mixture together until well coated.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange bread slices on a baking sheet.
- Lightly brush with olive oil if desired, then toast in the oven for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove the toasted bread from the oven and let it cool slightly.
- Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each slice of bread. Serve immediately.
