Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) Milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) Strong Brewed Coffee or 2 shots Espresso
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Chocolate Syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon Peppermint Extract
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) Heavy Cream (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Powdered Sugar (optional)
  • 1/8 teaspoon Peppermint Extract (optional)
  • Crushed Peppermint Candies (optional)
  • Chocolate shavings (optional)
  • Cocoa Powder (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Gently warm the milk in a saucepan over medium heat or in a microwave-safe bowl until steaming but not boiling.
  2. In your mug, combine the brewed coffee (or espresso), chocolate syrup, peppermint extract, and sugar.
  3. Pour the warm milk into the mug. If desired, froth the milk separately and spoon the foam on top of the mocha.
  4. In a small bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and peppermint extract until stiff peaks form (optional).
  5. Top with peppermint whipped cream, crushed peppermint candies, chocolate shavings, or a dusting of cocoa powder (optional). Serve immediately and enjoy!
