Ingredients:

  • 1 can (15 oz / 400 g) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon (3 g) cumin
  • ½ teaspoon (3 g) garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Drain and rinse the chickpeas under cold water.
  3. Use a clean kitchen towel to gently pat them dry, removing excess moisture.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Toss the chickpeas in the seasoning mixture until well-coated.
  6. Spread the chickpeas evenly onto a baking sheet in a single layer.
  7. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, stirring halfway through.
  8. Cool before serving; they will continue to crisp up as they cool.
