Ingredients:

  • 4 oz (120 ml) of 100% agave tequila
  • 2 oz (60 ml) of freshly squeezed lime juice (about 2 limes)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) of agave syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) of water (optional, to dilute)
  • Sea salt (for rimming the glasses)
  • Lime wedges (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Rub the rim of each glass with a lime wedge. Dip the rim into sea salt on a small plate to coat lightly.
  2. Squeeze the limes until you have at least 2 oz (60 ml) of fresh lime juice using a citrus juicer or reamer.
  3. In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, agave syrup, and optional water.
  4. Add ice to the shaker. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
  5. Fill the prepared glasses with ice. Strain the cocktail mixture into the glasses. Garnish with a lime wedge.
