Ingredients:
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken pieces (thighs or drumsticks, about 6-8 oz/170-225g each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5ml)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (5ml)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (5ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (2.5ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (2.5ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25ml)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil if desired.
- Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Brush the seasoning mixture generously all over the chicken pieces, ensuring every surface is coated.
- Arrange the chicken pieces on the prepared baking sheet, skin side up.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) when measured with a meat thermometer in the thickest part of the chicken (avoiding the bone).
- Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
