Ingredients:
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (240ml) water
Instructions:
- Add water and sugar to the saucepan.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir constantly until the sugar completely dissolves and the mixture is clear.
- Bring to a gentle simmer for a minute or two for a richer syrup, or if you want to infuse flavors (optional).
- Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
- Pour the cooled syrup into a sterilized airtight jar or bottle.
