Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (240ml) water

Instructions:

  1. Add water and sugar to the saucepan.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Stir constantly until the sugar completely dissolves and the mixture is clear.
  4. Bring to a gentle simmer for a minute or two for a richer syrup, or if you want to infuse flavors (optional).
  5. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
  6. Pour the cooled syrup into a sterilized airtight jar or bottle.
