Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 large head of cauliflower (about 1.5 lbs or 680 g)
- Optional: Fresh herbs (such as parsley or cilantro) for garnishing
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Remove the outer leaves from the cauliflower and trim the stem. Place the cauliflower core-side down and slice into 1-inch thick steaks.
- Brush each cauliflower steak with the marinade generously, ensuring all sides are coated. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat the grill to medium-high (about 400°F or 200°C). Oil the grill grates if necessary to prevent sticking.
- Place the cauliflower steaks on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until grill marks form and the cauliflower is tender but still holding its shape.
- Remove from the grill and garnish with fresh herbs if using. Enjoy warm with your favorite sides.
