Ingredients:
- 1 medium head green cabbage, chopped
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
- Chop the cabbage, slice the onion, and chop the bacon.
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
- Add the sliced onion to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened and slightly caramelized.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage and sauté for 5-7 minutes until it begins to wilt.
- Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and the cooked bacon. Cook for another 5-8 minutes until the cabbage is tender and flavors meld.
- Drizzle the apple cider vinegar over the mixture, stir, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat, and serve warm!
