Ingredients:
- 2 oz (60 ml) Mezcal (Espadín recommended)
- 1 oz (30 ml) Fresh Lime Juice (about 1 large lime)
- ¾ oz (22 ml) Cointreau or other orange liqueur
- ½ oz (15 ml) Agave Nectar (light or amber)
- Lime wedge, for garnish
- Optional: Salt or chili-lime salt for rimming
Instructions:
- If using salt or chili-lime salt, rim the glass by running a lime wedge around the edge and dipping it into the salt.
- Add mezcal, lime juice, Cointreau, and agave nectar to a cocktail shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice.
- Shake well for 15-20 seconds, until the shaker is very cold.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice (or without ice if you prefer a coupe).
- Garnish with a lime wedge. Enjoy your mezcal margarita!
