Ingredients:

  • 1 (16 ounce / 450g) can refried beans
  • 1 (8 ounce / 225g) container sour cream
  • 1 (1 ounce / 30g) packet taco seasoning
  • 1 (16 ounce / 450g) jar salsa
  • 2 ripe avocados, mashed
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 cup (115g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup (60g) chopped black olives
  • 1/4 cup (15g) chopped green onions
  • 1 (2.25 ounce / 65g) can sliced black olives, drained (for spider decoration)
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Spread refried beans evenly across the bottom of the serving platter.
  2. In a bowl, mix sour cream with taco seasoning.
  3. Spread the seasoned sour cream over the bean layer. Pipe concentric circles of sour cream on top. Drag a toothpick from the center outward to create a spiderweb effect.
  4. Carefully spread salsa over the sour cream layer.
  5. Mash avocados with lime juice and spread over the salsa.
  6. Sprinkle cheddar cheese, chopped black olives, and green onions over the guacamole.
  7. Use sliced black olives to create a spider on the web.
  8. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or chill for later.
