Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups (360g) powdered sugar, sifted
- 1/4 cup (60ml) milk, or more as needed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 2 cups (240g) powdered sugar, sifted
- 1/4 cup (60ml) milk, or more as needed
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Beat softened butter until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add sifted powdered sugar, mixing on low speed to prevent a sugary dust cloud.
- Add milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth.
- Add more milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached. (Should be thick enough to hold its shape but spreadable.)
- In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Add more milk, 1 teaspoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached. (Should be thin enough to drizzle but thick enough to coat.)
- Add food coloring if desired.
