Ingredients:

  • 4 slices (120g) whole grain or sourdough bread
  • 1 tbsp (15g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 tbsp (45g) sunflower seed butter
  • 2 tbsp (30g) fruit jam or jelly

Instructions:

  1. Lightly spread the softened unsalted butter on one side of each slice of bread. This side will face the pan to ensure a golden-brown exterior.
  2. Spread a thin layer of sunflower butter on the inside of both slices of bread to create a moisture barrier.
  3. Spoon the jam onto one of the sunflower butter-coated sides and spread it evenly, leaving a small margin around the edges to prevent leakage.
  4. Place a skillet over medium-low heat. Lay the sandwiches butter-side down.
  5. Grill for 3–4 minutes per side until the bread reaches a shattering crust and the internal sunflower butter is velvety and warm.
