Ingredients:
- ½ cup (100g) popcorn kernels (yellow or white)
- 3 tablespoons (45ml) vegetable oil (or canola, coconut oil)
- ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon (3g) salt (sea salt preferred)
Instructions:
- Combine oil, sugar, and popcorn kernels in the large pot.
- Place the pot over medium-high heat. Cover tightly with the lid.
- As the popcorn starts to pop, shake the pot frequently to prevent burning.
- Once the popping slows down to a few seconds between pops, remove from heat.
- Carefully remove the lid (watch out for steam!). Sprinkle the salt evenly over the popcorn and stir gently.
- Transfer the kettle corn to a large bowl to cool slightly before serving.
